My Philosophy of Education
"I have come to believe that a great teacher is a great artist and that there are as few as there are any other great artists. Teaching might even be the greatest of the arts since the medium is the human mind and Spirit"
~ John Steinbeck

As a teacher, I have the incredible privilege to affect the future of the world. Every student who comes through my door has nothing but unmatched potential. As a teacher, it is my duty to help them recognize their potential. I want my students to dream great dreams, and then to achieve them. I truly believe that there is no greater gift than the gift of an education. As a teacher, I will go above and beyond for my students, so that they can have the ability to achieve the greatness instilled in us all.
As a Social Studies teacher, I have the opportunity to show the next generation that their opinions matter, and that they have the ability to truly change the world. Through Social Studies, we learn that great things are accomplished by ordinary people through hard work, dedication, and above all believing in yourself. My students will walk into my classroom knowing that they matter and that together we will achieve greatness.
